Jason then founded Central Lakes Engineering in 2013 and has a team of highly skilled, experienced, knowledgeable and motivated guys working with him. His father Barry can also often be found in the engineering workshop too, lending his extensive knowledge and experience to projects.
The Central Lakes Engineering team are extremely capable and have a great ability to solve problems. Our team is made up of two fully qualified fitter and turners, two fully qualified and experienced heavy fabricators, two fully qualified boiler makers, three of these being qualified and highly-skilled and ticketed welders (including arguably the best flux cored mig welder in Central Otago), a general engineering apprentice, a stainless and aluminium light fabrication specialist and a fully qualified general engineer.
Our combined skills, knowledge and experience makes us the first stop for engineering in Wanaka. With such a broad range of experience, our problem-solving ability is second to none, and we can think outside the box to elevate your next project – from design through to completion.
We built the McKeown Fuel station on Ballantyne Rd and have the contract to build more stations throughout the South Island. We also work with a range of building and construction companies within the Southern Lakes and Central Otago.
We specialise in the design, fabrication and installation of architectural & structural metal products including handrails, balustrades and staircases. We work with individuals and architects to provide structural steelwork and metalwork for architecturally designed homes.
We work with a range of Central Otago farms, contracting companies, sawmills and businesses and ensure a fast turnaround on unexpected breakdowns to get you back in business as quick as we can, as well as ongoing maintenance to prevent equipment failure.
